 Special notes:

*  Please drive slowly past the houses near the maze.  There could be wayward children, dogs, and chickens running between the houses and the corn maze.

* Dogs are welcome to the daytime maze but please keep even the smallest four-legged friend on a leash.  Our chickens like to roam care-free.

* The water near the washrooms is safe to drink.

* If you have any unwanted toys feel free to drop them off on the sandpile near the corn maze entrance.

A walk through the Corn

The corn maze is nine acres in size.  We plant the seed in May and then use a rototiller to make the trails when the plants are only a few inches high.  The corn is almost full grown by the end of July. We encourage visitors to visit the corn maze from the third weekend in July until the third weekend in October.

Harvesting the Corn Maze for the Cows

The first three videos show how we harvest the corn maze using a silage chopper.  The corn silage is stored in a pit and fed to the cattle throughout the winter months.

The final two videos are from 2014.  Because we had such a hard frost in early September, the quality of the corn was quite poor by the end of the corn maze season in mid October.  It was decided to chop the corn and blow it back on the field to add nutrients and organic matter back into the soil.  The final video shows our cattle cleaning up the corn maze field before the first snowfall.
